PINEWOOD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
INTERCESSORY PRAYER MINISTRY VISION
MISSION
The mission of the Pinewood Intercessory Prayer Ministry is to allow the Lord to lead us into His will through prayer. Because of His Covenant and at His invitation, we will beseech the Sovereign Lord through Christ our mediator to bring revival, reformation, reconciliation, restoration, and rescue to our families, church, city, nation, and world.
Isaiah 62:1-7
1 For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet,
Until her righteousness goes forth like brightness,
And her salvation like a torch that is burning.
2 The nations will see your righteousness,
And all kings your glory;
And you will be called by a new name
Which the mouth of the Lord will designate.
3 You will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord,
And a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
4 It will no longer be said to you, “Forsaken,”
Nor to your land will it any longer be said, “Desolate”;
But you will be called, “My delight is in her,”
And your land, “Married”;
For the Lord delights in you,
And to Him your land will be married.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin,
So your sons will marry you;
And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
So your God will rejoice over you.
6 On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen;
All day and all night they will never keep silent.
You who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves;
7 And give Him no rest until He establishes
And makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
Hebrews 4:11-16
11 Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience.
12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.
14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
MOTTO
"Giving Him no rest that others might find rest"
CORE VALUES
1. Be Scripture focused in our prayers using the Scriptures as much as possible in our
intercession.
2. Be Kingdom focused praying for leaders, laborers, lost, revival, reformation, etc.
3. Be Bold in our confidence to approach and appeal to the throne because of our
Covenant with the Father, through the Son, and in the power of the Spirit.
4. Be Humble confessing our sin and knowing we are entering spiritual warfare against a
powerful and crafty enemy.

STRATEGIES
q Stage One- To initiate an intercessory prayer ministry utilizing a once a week meeting in the morning and/or night with an email group interceding according to our mission statement, the 5 R's and maintaining the core values.
1. Develop a leader for each group who will disseminate information.
2. Develop a means to secure requests from the Congregation and a procedure to
follow to keep up with answers as well as requests.
3. Develop a basic reproducible approach like the attached PRAISE acrostic.
4. Develop a prayer room with requests and needs by categories available in
notebooks and/or stations (Church, Nation, Persecuted Church, Missions).
q Stage Two- To extend this intercession by hosting half-nights of prayer, days of prayer and fasting, and prayer retreats; as well as joining with other intercessory prayer groups within and without our denominations for focused prayer occasionally.
q Stage Three-- To extend our intercession, as the number of intercessors increases, to include: during our two morning worship services and other times such as visitation, Kids Connection, and Sunday School.
q Stage Four- To extend our vision for intercessory prayer by hosting area training and retreats as well as develop a prayer chapel and/or permanent prayer retreat location.
