Youth Ministry Needs:

Jr. High

Surge Leaders: Our weekly, Sunday night junior high youth group meeting. Because of the large volume of students this attracts over the course of the year, we need adults who will commit to coming each week to hang out with and get to know students by building relationships, and participate in and help run large group games.

Guy/Girl Bible Study Teachers and Leaders: Requires weekly attendance at the Bible study to teach, build relationships, and help disciple junior high age students. We are trying to establish a team of adults to lead this to carry the load together, therefore you would not be the primary teacher every week, but ideally teach on a rotation.

Home to Host the Bible Studies: Perhaps you can’t or don’t desire to teach. Consider hosting the study at your house and still play a vital role in this ministry. Ideally, we are seeking a home in close proximity to the church.

Food Preparation/Donation: No matter what time of the day, students are hungry! We try to have some sort of food/snack at our events as an attraction and a taming of the beasts. Brownies, fruit, chips, drinks, etc. Consider being on our call list to provide food for various events.

Sr. High

Fuel Leaders: Our once a month, outreach meeting is a large group gathering of high school students. Often times there are entirely too many students for the youth staff to build relationships with or sometimes even be able to just say “Hi” to. We need caring adults who would consider just being at this meeting to go around and boldly introduce themselves to students, get to know them and try to help plug them in to our ministry.

Discipleship Group Leaders (D-groups): The core of our ministry to students are these groups where, in a small groups setting, we can really dig deeper and help students better understand their faith and grow. We need adults who can commit to an entire year of meeting weekly with their small group of students to study the Word, pray, and (in some groups) build one another up through accountability.

Sunday Night Fellowship Leaders (We are working on a better name): This is our weekly large group gathering primarily for fellowship and relational ministry to students. It also serves as a great first-step outreach opportunity to invite non-church friends. Again, like Fuel, we need caring adults to help meet and greet students as well as build relationships to better minister to them. The night includes food, fellowship though games and discussion, as well as a short testimony or devotion from one of our student leaders.

Hosting Sunday Night Fellowship: We are looking for families who are willing to bravely open their homes to host this event. We are looking for a minimum of a semester long commitment in order to avoid switching locations from week to week. Responsibilities would only be the use of your home; we take care of the food, the set-up and clean-up.

Other Youth Ministry Needs

Sunday School - Communion Sundays Pancake Breakfast

Each Communion Sunday (2nd Sunday, every other month) we cancel youth Sunday school and have all students (junior high & senior high) meet in the Fellowship Hall for a Pancake Breakfast. We need parents to help bring skillets, milk, Bisquick, orange juice and any other supplies to make the breakfast and cook and serve it to our students. If you would like to donate "add water" pancake mix or syrup, please bring them by the booth or youth office.

Video and Photographers (& Editors)

We always want to capture pictures and videos of all our events, but as a staff we have many other responsibilities and can never seem to find the time to snap the shots needed. In addition to this need anyone with the software and ability to edit footage and pictures to make into videos to show at youth group or other church functions is also needed.
